Every work is created using recycled / re-purposed materials, such as: silk from old scarves; silk scraps; taffeta; cotton fabrics; organza & similar fabrics; Japanese mending silk thread; metallic threads; different types of glass beads; shell buttons; freshwater pearls from a broken necklace.

The circular designs are created by twisting pieces of silk, then oversewing them with contrasting colours and metallic threads.
